I am a woodworker who specializes in custom walking sticks and canes with a focus on traditional English and Irish style walking sticks, many times with my own added twist.
With each item I aim to incorporate the uniqueness of the wood I am using and capture that beauty in the finish product. My walking sticks and canes are made to provide support for rugged hiking, stability in walking or for the collector. I make a variety of other wood products including jewelry and keepsake boxes, tobacco pipes, props and "magic wands".
All items are handmade to the client's specification, so if you see an item you like or would like something completely unique please reach out. I look forward to working with you to create a unique and beautiful piece that you will cherish for years to come.

    I just received the second cane Rafe did for me and, as much as I love the first one he did, I think I'm going to like this one even better. He listened to my request for a pistol grip that would fit my palm and fingers better so it should be more comfortable for longer stretches of use. Like the first one, this one is a thing of beauty. I highly recommend Rafe Demers for the quality and aesthetics of his work, as well as for his good, prompt communication.
