The Story: It all started when I was pregnant with my first child. It was important to me that he or she grow up with an appreciation for nature, animals and wildlife. It was also important to me that they understand that our pets (for us, it was our cat Diablo) are a huge part of the family.

Fascinated with the wildlife of Africa, I chose to create four pieces, each featuring a different family of African animals - lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes - with our cat cleverly tucked into each piece.

When my son was born, these pieces became the focus of our daily wake-up ritual. We talk about the animals, where they’re from and what makes each different from the other. To see the joy the art brings him and how his face lights up during our discussions is such reward. His smile is worth every second spent on those pieces.

The Perfect Nursery Décor: As a mom, I know how important it is to create a perfect room for your perfect bundle of joy. As a result, I take a minimalist approach to my work, creating pieces that can easily be integrated into any type of nursery – classic or modern, dark or light furnishings, colorful or neutral. You can be sure that my artwork will go beautifully with whatever ambiance you create for your baby girl or baby boy.

Unique Factor: Your child is unique and special, and so, the artwork you hang on his or her walls should be so, too. I take great pride in creating pieces that you won’t find anywhere else. All of my original artwork is hand-drawn using a unique technique of watercolor markers and water. My computer is used solely for printing, customizing prints with a name or quote, and for any of my alphabet, letter, and custom name art.

Art as an Investment: I know that so much of what we buy as parents tends to be short-term - the clothes, the toys, the carseats, etc. So much money is spent for such temporary things. When it comes to purchasing art, however, it should be an investment – an investment that you should be able to appreciate for years to come. And so, I approach my artwork with this in mind.

Whether you purchase a print, an original custom piece, or a limited edition, you can be sure that you are getting the highest quality product. Further, I take great pride in creating pieces that can be appreciated by all generations, so not only will your child appreciate the artwork, but you will, as well. Although my artwork may start as nursery décor, it can grow with your child and your family. Your investment will bring smiles to all ages for years to come.
