I have a passion for building and working with wood. Since I was young I have always worked to create unique and special projects that advance my skills. I grew up in the residential construction industry working hard for my grandfather and father, learning different skills and trades, and most of all learning the importance of hard work. I love to share my passion with others and work with customers to create heirloom quality unique pieces that last a lifetime.
Contemporary Woods is a local family owned business based on Nebraska Values. We design and hand craft unique and custom furniture, with the goal of becoming Nebraska’s foremost furniture maker. Our philosophy is that a person should get what they want, not just take whatever is available.
Some of the services that we specialize in are; custom designs, in-home consultation, custom finish options and stain matching, built-in or free-standing pieces. We work in common wood types like; Maple, Cherry, Birch, Walnut, Oak, Ash, Hickory, Mahogany, Zebra, Padauk, White Oak, Quartersawn, Sapelle, and other exotic wood species. Glass tops, glass boxes, glass panels, Metal and special faux finishes are available to include in custom designs of our unique pieces.

Adam did an amazing job making our bookcase. Communication was a breeze and he always got back to me quickly. He had some great suggestions on the glass doors which not only kept our project on budget but made the case look special and unique. The finished case looks beautiful and is sturdy and well put together. Finishing details throughout the whole shelf look incredible. The craftsmanship is A+ The packing could have been a little better. Decent protection but some screws we needed were placed in an odd location and we didn't get the shelf pegs included with the case. All easy to remedy but maybe just include the hardware in a bag taped to the piece in the future. Overall Adam did a fantastic job and I highly recommend his services. He took any stress out of the project with great communication, being right on time with everything, and most importantly an outstanding product!

I am very happy with the considerations, This maker is very professional and cares about what he builds. Contemporary woods goes the extra Mile. This was a complex project and Expectations were exceeded. In future if additions will be added I would recommend getting and example to use for fitment. I would also recommend a Delivery method that gave more value. Shipper continually delayed shipment. There were other delivery issues as well. I am very happy with my product.

Shipping Policy
We can Ship on our own truck within about 4 hour radius of Lincoln, Nebraska. Any other location we are happy to get a shipping quote prepared per your request.
Maker Policy
All orders are subject to the following conditions: Terms of Sale: All orders require a 50% down payment at time of ordering, with the balance due at time of pick-up or delivery. Authorized company purchase orders may be accepted for an approved contract customer in lieu of a 50% down payment. A finance charge of 1-1/2% per month (18% annual rate) will be charged to accounts past due 30 days. Sales Tax: Nebraska Sales Tax will be charged on all orders Shipped within the state of Nebraska, unless a current Nebraska Resale or Exempt Sale Certificate is on file with us. Sales tax rate shall be that of the prevailing rate at location of pick-up, or Delivery, whichever applies Returned Merchandise: Only Floor Stock merchandise may be returned within 3 days of the original purchase date, Floor Stock merchandise returned after 3 days at Contemporary Woods’ discretion, will incur a 10% restocking fee. All delivery and installation fees are non-refundable. Special Orders: If you want to make a change to your order, we will try to make the appropriate changes, however if the order is in production, changes may incur additional fees. Cancellation on a special order will result in a 25% restocking fee. Claims-Shortage-Errors and Damaged Materials: Any claims of damages, error, or shortages must be notated on the delivery sheet. Any orders being returned must have prior authorization by Contemporary Woods. Delivery drivers are un-able to accept returns without written pre-authorization. Our Product: Contemporary Woods reserves the right to make changes at any time without notice, in prices, finishes, materials, equipment, specifications, and models. All dimensions listed are approximate, and may vary slightly. All orders taken are subject to approval of Contemporary Woods and its representatives. Warranties: Contemporary Woods takes pride in our product and we are proud to offer a full 5-year limited warranty against manufacturers defects. If a Contemporary Woods Manufactured Product ever fails during this period, due to defects in material or workmanship, please notify Contemporary Woods as soon as possible.
