Born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I am proud to be a professional working in a trade that is as rich in tradition and history as my home. I come from a long family line of tradesmen who made their livelihood by their handicraft. Working with my hands is what I love to do and I look forward to sharing my passion with my customers with every piece I create. After a decade of experience in blacksmithing, I have acquired a passion for custom projects. The intricacy, the challenge, the process of crafting a bespoke piece speaks to my work in a unique way. I am excited to start working on your one of a kind creation.
Iron Roots is a custom furniture business that incorporates traditionally blacksmithed ironwork with beautiful milled lumber to make custom furnishings, hardware, and structures. We love working with our customers to create custom orders that will be perfect for them. Any idea is welcome, large or small, creative or classic. No two pieces made will ever be identical and every one is hand made in the USA.

For Steven's Bed5.0Working with Christopher was a breeze from beginning to end. We wanted a queen over queen bunk bed (made from wood) and we sent him the picture of a plan we found online. He was able to quickly source the 6x6 posts needed, which other builders were struggling to find. After we reviewed stains together, I gave him the timeline we needed for delivery and installation and he was able to meet that with no problem. The bed looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely work with Christopher again if we ever decide to do another project.
