About Me
Intellexual Design is the creative playground of Karen Tucker, fine artist originally from Washington, DC.My love of art started very early in life.
In 2010, while working on my Master’s in Business Administration at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, I spent A LOT of time creating paintings and drawings to decompress from my full-time grad school studies. After toying with the idea of combining my love of art, shoes and business for about six months, Intellexual Design (originally Intellexual Technology & Design) was born in March of 2010. Since then, I have designed and sold shoes to customers in 40 US States and 14 countries as well as at local boutiques.
Most recently, I collaborated with a company called BucketFeet, which specializes in artist-designed footwear. A pair I designed for them, appropriately titled ‘Jigsawed’, are featured in BucketFeet’s 2015 Fall/Winter line.

Intellexual Design only sells 100% authentic Converse, Vans and Toms sneakers customized using only the finest quality paints and dyes.
