Aaron is a self-taught coppersmith who has created one-of-a-kind jewelry and décor from recycled sheet copper for almost 10 years in Northern California. Since 2014, his wife Heather has assisted in the development of their brand, Immortal Element; named to represent the ancient influence of copper on the body and throughout the home. All of Aaron's designs are cut and hammered by hand, then fire-painted by torch; creating shapes and patterns to reveal an array of vibrant colors. He’s also perfected a patina of marbled bright blues and black.

What We Make:
Copper is desired for its warmth, durability and character; it’s alive, naturally sustainable and retains a timeless aesthetic. Our uniquely-crafted product line includes tables, accent lighting, mobiles, wall hangings and garden features. Each table is built from scratch using reclaimed wood stained in black, then finished with a high-gloss lacquer for long-lasting wear and shine. Our accent lighting includes floor and table lamps, hanging lamps, sconces, pendant lights and night lights. These designs are inspired by totem animals or simple geometric shapes, and are our most popular pieces. Mobiles, wall art and garden décor are typically made by custom request, as well as projects like tiling, countertops, kitchen range hoods, fixtures and fittings.

We also design jewelry and accessories from the remnants of our furnishings to reduce waste and promote the healing benefits of copper. As a powerful conductor, copper stimulates the flow of energy and becomes “charged” by our natural chemistry. In combination with raw crystals and minerals, every collection awakens the wearer's intentions and purpose.

How We Do It:
We purchase raw sheet copper locally, then, cut out our designs by hand. Next, the pieces are sanded, hammered on anvil, and polished. For furniture, lighting, and home décor, pure copper fastenings are used and reclaimed wood is cut, sanded and stained. If the piece is to be patinaed, it may or may not be fired prior to that process. Patinaed pieces are air-sealed with a custom salt mixture for 24 hours. Otherwise, everything is fired with a propane torch, creating stripes and patterns to flow with the individual design concept. Finally, the pieces are lacquered and ready for use.
Soldered link chain, healing crystals and wire-wrapping are included in the assembly of jewelry, as well as ear wires, formed by hand with 14k Gold Fill or Titanium.
