We’re a husband-and-wife team based in Warrensburg, Missouri. We’re both from the Midwest, but we met in Uganda while serving as Peace Corps Volunteers. We love exploring, soaking in the beauty of the natural world, and getting to know the people and cultures we encounter along the way.
We use high quality local Missouri hardwoods and eco-friendly finishes to minimize our environmental impact. We also plant a tree for every item we sell!
Nathan has a background in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, and is a lifelong woodworker. He is excited about our full time creative pursuit based on his love for creating and woodworking and our desire to make beautiful, useful things.
Cynthia offers input into the design process and manages orders and other details. We look forward to working with you!

Working with Nathan from Three Trees Workshop was excellent. Nathan was very professional and gave his ideas, thoughts, and suggestions on my project to help me get exactly what I wanted. He kept in touch with me throughout the entire project and answered all my questions. If I ever have another project that I need done, I will defiantly contact him for help. I absolutely am thrilled and happy with how the project turned out. I couldn't have asked for a better turn out. I had an idea as to what I wanted, A custom made ring box, to propose with. I had already had the dimensions and designs that I wanted. Nathan helped me and asked questions so that I was able to get exactly what I wanted. And with his professionalism and knowledge, he was able to help me work out the fine details and get the box designed perfectly.

I take great pride in my work. If you buy something and are unsatisfied with the result, I will work with you to make adjustments. Please be aware that part of the beauty of natural materials is that they have natural variation. We use high quality, specially selected material, and slight variations in color or wood grain are not defects. Custom work is non-refundable and once in-progress, custom projects cannot be cancelled. If you need an item by a specific date or for a specific event, please let me know in advance of accepting a proposal.
