We at Ford Hart Hardwoods are dedicated to bringing the beauty of wood to our customers homes in a way that enhances your homes beauty and creativity. We offer both finished products like our fireplace mantles as well as semi-DIY projects like our wood slabs. We know that many of you love to be involved in the creation of your homes but probably don’t have the extensive tool collection necessary to do some of the steps involved. For instance, most of you don’t have a giant band saw mill to cut slabs from logs or a multi-thousand dollar wide sander to make sure that your slab is perfectly smooth and most importantly, level. BUT…you still want to be able to make the decision about how to best use your slab. Is it a coffee table? An end table? A desk? An artistic natural picture on your wall? Yes – some of our slabs have even been framed as natural art. When you buy one of our slabs, you can decide how to use it – we don’t make that decision for you. We just do the part you can’t – we have the tools to take your slab from a log to a finished, smooth, and perfectly level piece and then let you take it from there. Your imagination is your only limitation.
