I grew up in the home building industry, and from an early age love creating things. I loved the feeling of creating something that served a purpose and would be cherished by someone. This led me to a supervisory role in which I dealt with customers first hand. This is where I really began to shine. I worked with people from all walks of life and together we brought their vision to life. Along the way I began to do less building and more managing, furniture filled desire to create. I took the knowledge that I had gained from many years building homes and began to study furniture building techniques. The desire to create and learn new techniques led me to build my first piece of furniture. With that piece long behind me I continue to learn and practice the craft.

McKamey Custom Woodworking was the brain child of my lovely wife. She had shared a picture of a piece I had built for her and had an overwhelming response asking where it came from. She urged me to start sharing my work with other and saw my passion. We are still growing the business and loving every minute.

We try to stay up to date with latest trends while creating pieces that are timeless. We do not have standard pieces. Each and every piece is custom built to the customers specifications. We offer 3D modeling of pieces to allow people to see what the finished piece will look like in their space. Our inspiration comes from many different places and styles. Natural wood, stain or paint, each piece is tailored to the customers specifications.
