I'm very easy to work with, and very forgiving when people change their minds. I change my mind sometimes too. So I will try to work with you if you need to cancel or return something. At the same time, I have to be fair to myself, if I've already purchased materials that aren't refundable, or have already cut into materials that are, I'll need to retain that amount so I don't go into my own pocket at least. Simplicity of form, reverence for material, and precise craftsmanship come together to create this elegant tribute to the traditional Shaker blanket chest. The careful attention to detail should not be missed here; the hand-turned wenge drawer knobs (mortised into the drawer front rather than screwed), the wood-pinned breadboard top made of dramatic book matched curly cherry, the precision fit drawer which slides perfectly into its burnished box (wood on wood, nothing mechanical involved), and the sensual, nostalgic smell from the aromatic red cedar which lines both the upper chest and the drawer. This chest truly presents a traditional design in its highest incarnation. Pictured in curly cherry with wenge pulls.

With nearly two decades of experience crafting all manner of hand made furniture and cabinets, I am especially experienced at designing and crafting custom furniture for the home, such as the dining room table, dining room chair, king bed and queen bed, morris chair, side table and end table, coffee table, buffet, sideboard, credenza, dresser, chest of drawers, blanket chest, rocking chair, writing desk, and office chair. While I have a design style all my own, my influences are from the Arts and Crafts, Shaker, and Asian aesthetics.
