This piece is a classic cocktail cabinet in the Gothic Revival style. It is made from quartersawn English brown oak and finished in shellac and wax. The work surfaces, since they would likely come in contact with alcohol, were finished in conversion varnish. The client and I looked long and hard for appropriate hardware, and finally had to have the pieces forged for us. The fall front features hand carved linenfold panels. The doors have a hand carved floral pattern.

Jim was fantastic to work with. He took great care in listening to the details of our project and offering his own suggestions as well. The design process went very smoothly and we were thrilled with the finished result.
