the best part of the bowling alley is where the pins go, and this is it! this coffee/side table was made from reclaimed maple bowling alley lane. it's a little rough around the edges but smooth to the touch and ready to go. i fabricated the base from a steel alloy and brushed it. it looks like stainless, but it's not! this bad boy stands 20" tall and the top is 20" X28." and he has a partner! check out my listing for the 46" long, low version. if you're interested in the set, contact me and i'll "bundle" them. local pickups and delivery is and preferred! contact me to work out arrangements prior to purchase so i can edit shipping expenses. if you live to far away and want to pay for shipping, it will be via greyhound express. that means you'll need to pick it up at your nearest greyhound bus station. it's the most economical way. i'll need your phone # so they can call you. thanks for looking, tim
A Maker who has been a valued part of this community for several years.
Customers say that this Maker ships promptly after completing a project.
This Maker has consistently demonstrated excellence in craftsmanship and customer service.
I am an independent artist/artisan working exclusively in reclaimed, recycled, upcycled and found materials.
i make the useless useful again. i make worthless things priceless.
from conception, to making it to sweeping up, i am a one-man operation - by design.
my work is not for everyone. my customers are people who want truly unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that are made fairly and ethically from locally salvaged materials - with as small a footprint as i can muster.
i will make and ship things all over the united states (depending on size) but i prefer to work regionally (Boston to NYC and thereabouts).
listed on this page are some pieces i've made for others and some pieces i have available for sale. but what i really want to do is design and make what YOU want. let's do it!
be good,
tim
oh yeah, at youtube.com/timsway you will find more than one hundred video of things i've made.

For 60" square coffee tableTim Sway is better than great. He made a monolith of a coffee table from 200+ years old reclaimed chestnut. It is so beautiful and so fantastic, my husband and I are thrilled. Tim is incredibly thoughtful about using reclaimed wood and communicates every step of the way to keep you in the loop. If everybody worked this way! :)
I highly recommend Tim to work some magic in creative, custom-made furniture. You will not be disappointed. Seriously. MH

For Pinball Machine Converted into Home Office DeskTim spent a great deal of time ensuring that my idea was fully realized by him before even starting the project. He was very enthusiastic about taking on this project and worked hard to find solutions to this novel creation. The final product is amazing and I think it is the first of its kind. Tim was the consummate professional throughout and truly wanted to make sure that I was pleased. Yes, given the opportunity and the right project, I would welcome working with Tim again.
