Custom Range Hood

We are happy with the final product but getting it to the end was not the best. What should have been a 6 week project turned into 4 months. Communication with the fabricator was not good. Seemed like the only time we got responses was when money was needed or we had to threaten to escalate to a higher power. Shipping of the final product was a fiasco. We were charged $400 for shipping of our range hood. The fabricator used some company like UBER but for freight. We were to receive the product on a Saturday around 4:00 p.m. but did not get until Sunday at 7:00 p.m. I would not work with this fabricator again and would not recommend him to anyone.

Very happy with final product..took a little longer than we expected but it was very worth it- the drawing of what we wanted is exactly what he did..thanks Justin!

Justin made us an amazing dining room table. That fit perfectly in our newly renovated home. I sent him pictures of the space, dimensions and some ideas I had about the finished project. He came up with a fabulous design and completed it on time! I can't say enough about how beautiful the table is and how much it is admired by all of our guests.

Justin does incredible work. As with many creative projects timelines can be an issue which it was for this project. But if you're not on a super hard deadline his work is top notch. Couldn't be happier with the product.

Justin at LightFast delivered an awesome custom made range hood. We are really happy with it and it is right on spec. Throughout the process, Justin worked closely with us on the design itself, measurements, trim placement, etc. and delivered multiple 3-D models that we worked from. His attention to detail allowed us to really 'see' the final product and address things that we really hadn't considered or thought of. He is responsive, a pleasure to work with and competitively priced. Going into this process, as an engineer with deep attention to detail, I didn't know who LightFast or Justin was and admittedly wasn't sure what the outcome would be. I can now say that the process and the final result were well worth it. I would strongly recommend LightFast and Justin even for items you can buy in a store - there's something special about having an item made and that shows through in Justin's work. George

Justin did an excellent job. He first came up with a CAD drawings of the coffee tables we asked him to make. Next, he sent us samples of various materials (wood and metal) to use. We didn't initially like any of the material samples, so he sent us more to choose from. Once, we've settled on the design and the materials, Justin regularly communicated with us, keeping us updated on the progress. The final product looks great! Very professionally done. High quality work.

I needed something incredibly obscure for my kitchen and Justin really came through. What he made I literally couldn't find anywhere and would have been impossible without Justin's help. We had one small adjustment to make and Justin actually picked up the pieces in person to fix them and then mail them back. At times the turn around got a bit long but I wouldn't hesitate to use Justin again to create truly custom pieces for me.

It was sadly a failure. The hood came broken and of shoddy workmanship. I am trying to get a refund. The artisan has agreed to it. I am disappointed in Custommade as well as I emailed you on Wednesday and have not heard back. Finally, You asked me for reviews and charged me before the product arrived. I wish I had not been charged until I could inspect the item. Thank you!

I contacted Justin to help design and create a custom 48" range hood. Justin, was able to take my conceptual design and create working drawings which helped finalize the design. He offered suggestions on metals and finishes which added different elements and nuances to the design. The end product was a perfect addition to our custom kitchen and has become a clear focal point without being out of place. The technical and manufacturing process of the hood was complex and Justin made it look easy. Overall, I would highly recommend Justin not only for his technical skill but his ability to envision a conceptual design and turn it into a beautiful centerpiece.

Justin was very prompt in the project review and proposal process. He was very helpful as I was trying to turn an idea into a concept and design. He promptly sent me samples to review. His pricing was fair and to my expectations. The project took a week longer than he said it would, and I was not made aware of that in advance. But it did not matter to me as I was not in a rush. The delivery was prompt, and the driver was very courteous. The table that Justin built for us is sublime. It is a beautiful piece of original custom made furniture. I would use Justin again with no hesitation.

Justin immediately jumped on our time-sensitive project - within a few hours. He was lightning fast at responding to emails, suggested alternative solutions, came up with drawings, and literally got started right away. We had our sculptures in hand within 7 days, and they look terrific! VERY pleased with Justin - hope to work with him again soon.

Justin is good at what he does. He is a master craftsman. He took my requirements and did a great job will completing the project and giving me what I wanted. Even when things went wrong, he went the extra mile to make everything right. I would recommend him for any metal or stone project.

Justin does great work with metal. I have a small apartment with little kitchen space, and I needed a kitchen island that could serve as prep space, storage space, and casual hang-out space. Justin worked with me to develop a design that met those requirements. He sent me samples of different metal finishes so that I could decide based on the real thing, not just photos. He communicated well throughout and was very fair on price - the final product was a little more than the original estimate, but that was after a great deal of discussion and new design elements (including folding leaves to turn the island into a dining table). Very good experience overall.

Justin was absolutely great to work with! The stainless steel countertop he made for us was exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend him!

The custom etched bar mirror looks great. It will be an awesome focal point behind the bar in my bottle shop. There was a slight problem with a subcontractor who was dragging their feet. However, Justin more than made up for the slight delay. I enjoyed the entire process and would highly recommend Lightfast. Great work and great customer service!
