Offerings From The Rose Garden

The Offering from the Rose Garden is a project that arose out of my need to save this wonderful vintage porcelain roses lamp. So many times you find one of these vintage lamps and the roses are broken, but this one was perfect. I tore apart the lamp, cleaned it up and re-wired it. I wanted to draw the colors from the lamp to the lamp shade and bring dimension and texture already present in the lamp to the shade as well. I ultimately chose a bell shaped lamp shade frame for my canvas and created this sweet chiffon pleated /sugar lampshade with roses and butterflies in matching tones for a perfect solution. The resulting piece is a treasure to look at and creates a sweet romantic ambiance for evening lighting.
