Currently For Sale! This stylish chest was built with correct proportion in mind. We used solid exposed joinery such as through dovetails and through tenons with wedge accents and Japanese lines as inspiration. The top, sides and front are skinned in Quilted Beech laid out such that a rippled "S" figure is very visible throughout. Accents featured are solid Mahogany posts and top edge, and arched stretchers. Grainmatching is also used, the result being a balanced, carefully designed piece that is sure to draw numerous compliments from your guests. Contact us today to inquire about this custom chest! WOOD: Primary – quilted beech. Secondary – genuine mahogany. FEATURES: Arched stretchers with through tenons; visible sliding dovetails throughout; through dovetail joinery for box. Sculpted posts; solid genuine mahogany top edge; grain-matched quilted beech veneer throughout. Dovetailed, English-style drawers. HARDWARE: Handmade Japanese pulls. FINISH: One wash coat of blonde shellac to maximize light refraction, then clear conversion varnish.
