Western-Inspired Walnut And Cedarbox With Leather Boot Inlay
This one-of-a-kind box is a guaranteed conversation starter. The focal point is definitely the leather boot inlay, which I did by hand. The top and bottom panels are made of walnut and the sides are made of cedar and poplar. I applied a thin coat of Danish oil to the body to give it a rustic feel, and some glossy wood finish on the lid to seal the inlay. I also lined the insides of the box with soft, wine-colored suede leather to keep your keepsakes safe from scratches. Most importantly, this lovely piece is made entirely of upcycled wood, making it environment-friendly as well.

Apr 4, 2017Terry did a wonderful job creating our furniture. He is such a talented carpenter and it is easy to see how much he loves his profession. The attention to detail and quality of the furniture is something that has been lost on most mainstream consumers. IKEA is good for college dorms, but when it comes to a home you want to be proud of custom made furniture is the way to go. I look at carpentry as another form of artwork and Terry is a gifted artist. He listens patiently to your ideas and turn them into beautiful furniture. Communication from start to finish on the project was excellent. My husband and I would definitely hire Terry again if we had to do it over.

Dec 8, 2012Terry was such a joy to work with. I got a few proposals from other makers, but went with Terry especially because my deadline was tight and he was incredibly responsive and enthusiastic. I even changed the entire design at the last minute, and he reworked the piece and the budget on the fly. I haven't been shipped the piece yet because it was just completed today, but I know the craftsmanship will be top notch based on the pictures and Terry's portfolio. Great experience!
