Dec 3, 2014Our toy box arrived damaged and the hinges used were rather cheap and not a slow-close or safety hinge. Not requesting those hinges was my mistake though, I expected it to be standard on a heavy wood toy box where the lid could easily slam down crushing a child's hand. Also, I did not report the damage in shipping to the builder b/c we had just lost our home in the Moore, OK tornado and had more pressing matters to attend to. So in the builder's defense, I did not give him the opportunity to rectify the things I was dissatisfied with.

Sep 8, 2014The tray is lovely! I would have liked to have been told that the bottom of the tray (on which glasses /bowls/plates might be set) was not going to be even or flat. Am sure that working with reclaimed wood has something to do with this. Knots, scratches, etc. would not be surprising, but the fact that the bottom of this tray is not even or "sealed" does. Still a beautiful piece. Just have to tell the kids not spill anything on it! :)

Jul 30, 2013LOVE the reclaimed wood ottoman tray that Matt created for me!! A beautiful piece that looks just like the picture(s) and Matt had no issue at all customizing the size for me. I was always kept in the loop regarding the status of the project as well as shipping plans.... I'd absolutely recommend Matt and would not hesitate to commission another piece if the need arises!
