Walnut Coffee Table
The top utilizes two matched walnut slabs of deep character. In addition to character, they were chosen for the "puzzle-piece" fit and resulting S-shaped joint that highlights their natural shape. Large petoskey stones (fossilized coral unique to Northern Michigan) are inlayed at each end. The angular base is hand cut steel plates that are ground for a bright stainless look and clear coated. It is well inside the foot print of the top giving the top primary visual importance and a floating appearance.
