I start with a used garden shovel or fork and cover it in broken china which I hand-cut and piece to create an attractive design. I can cover just the shovel or the entire handle. I use a polymer grout and then seal the piece to repel moisture and stains. For best results, it should be brought indoors during the harshest winter conditions.
