Celtic Knotwork Crossed With Steampunk - Blue Etched Glass Art Plate
As a sample artglass piece this is a meld of steampunk with Celtic themed art etched into a blue glass plate I had found. The etching is done all on the backside of the dish. It is deep carved, frosted and shaded. . The blue plate is 13 inches (33cm) in diameter. It's an interesting color against the sandblasting. In part it becomes a hidden treasure and is revealed when the light is captured into the roughened grains lighting up the design within. . The plate is functional, as well as, a great art piece to display in the light on a window sill. Though you could eat off of it, it is more often used as a candy dish or serving plate for maybe cupcakes or cookies or other goodies.
