As the 7th generation on my family farm many of my tools and building methods have been passed down over the centuries, I have 30 years of experience with wood, myself. So, between the “handed down” knowledge and all the Restoration, Repairs and Duplications of Wood Antiques that have been proven for years or even centuries, I continue to use these methods in my custom projects to make sure they last for years/centuries.
We offer a complete Custom Made Projects ranging from the simple Custom Projects like Picture Frames and cutting boards all the way to the Custom High-End Projects like Dining Room Furniture to Custom Cabinetry to Custom Bedroom Furniture and beyond. We have built Custom Projects with a Reclaimed Lumber, to a Contemporary Look to a Modern Look all the way to the “High-End Refined” look, and everything else in-between and beyond.
LaRue Woodworking ALSO offers, what we call, the “EXTREME CUSTOM” option, because we own a 75 acre wood lot, sawmill, Dry Kiln, planers, Custom Molding machine and even a 3-D CNC Router, I offer a “Used your own tree/log/Lumber” all the way to “Pick your own Live Tree” to finished project.

He crafted a gorgeous memorial bench in honor of my father and he was very helpful in selecting a suitable wood for its outdoor location. Everyone who sees it is so impressed with the high quality work and attention to detail. I couldn't be happier! We picked up the bench from his workshop to save on the shipping, but judging by William's responsiveness and professionalism in all other regards, I'm confident that he'd handle the shipping expertly.

They were incredibly patient working with us through our slew of questions and incredibly knowledgeable. They were able to look at some ideas of what we wanted and then make recommendations for the best pattern and woods to use for the project. For Desk Name Plates3.3Mr. LaRue's plaque was exactly what I wanted, but I was very disappointed with the size of the desk plaque, especially for what I paid. The letters were 3/4 inches high and I expected them to be MUCH LARGER. I did not ask the size when ordering and that was my fault. I explained when ordering that my husband had an executive desk and this small name plaque looks so out of place.
I wrote Mr. LaRue and told him of my disappointment, but never heard back from him.
I suggest when ordering anything from him, that the customer ask the size of the item.
