Kitchen Knife
The customer wanted a kitchen knife as a friend's wedding gift, I designed a san-mai chopper for them. It's CruForge high carbon steel with a shell of 416 stainless wrapped around it, and 15n20 shims for etching contrast. Zebrawood handle with antler spacer and copper fittings.

Born and raised in the city, I am a New Yorker to the core. I’ve seen this island at its worst and made it through in one piece; so it’s reasonable to say I would like to continue living and working in an urban environment for years to come. In the past I have freelanced as a 3D computer artist and animator, ironwork designer, and product designer/developer. Today I am a full time teacher and bladesmith.
2017 I won Forged In Fire (a competition knife and sword making show on the History channel) twice, becoming the third Forged In Fire champion of champions. The winnings from the show allowed me to grow my tiny shop into a small school, and 2019 we moved into Industry City to grow the school and add the storefront.
