Art Chair

This chair was created as a donation for a Charity Auction in Milwaukee's Villa Terrace on June 19 2013. Project consisted of taking a chair an re-make into an art chair. I started with an oak chair era-1930's, Which I added wood pieces to the frame back. Then I carved the body shape, and then covered the frame with Gesso. The chair was then painted with acrylic paints and micro fine glitter. Faux finish of stone and bureled wood surround the figure. Several coats of clear acrylicwere applied and the fininsh coats are a proffessional pollyurethane for durability.
