Dining Table In Figured Maple
I was charged with repairing a poorly made table for a great room In Westchester. I'd left the couple with a mockup of a table I recently designed for their convenience. They enjoyed the mockup so much they asked me to make one just like it and get rid of the original "repair" job table. I think what they really liked was the 29" high top, it was much friendlier than the 30" top on their old table. It sounds like a small difference, but if you're only five feet tall, it can be like night and day. The woman told me that inch was the difference bdetween feeling like a child and an adult at the table. The little "anklet" detail is veneered with tiny strips of Wenge. The top was a magnificent piece of maple with curl, blisters and bird's eyes all over it. Dimensions are 32" x 78" x 29" tall.
