Antique Stained Glass Window Panel, Eapg Depression Glass Stained Glass Plate

$150

Ah, doesn't this just make you think of pretty dried flowers, ladies in big hats, and white gloves? Make a decorating statement with this uniquely designed stained glass window transom or valance. This centerpiece plate is in the lovely Daisy and Button pattern first presented by L. G. Wright and sold to Fenton who made it popular with the Top Hat and Shoe designs. It is lovely in any window as the texture of the glass is magnificent in the sunlight casting rainbows throughout the room. The neutral color works with any decor and allows the bevels to come alive. Recycled depression glass windows add interest and charm to any decor. An antique stained glass window transom is more than just a collectible. Antique Depression glass offers a look at the past through its rich and interesting history and enduring popularity. Manufactured in the United States from the 1920s until after World War II, Depression glass was often offered as a premium, or as a free gift, for buying another item. Housewives found these glass items in products such as detergent or oatmeal boxes; gas stations often gave a cup or plate for a fill-up; and movie theaters included a piece with movie tickets. Measuring approximately 25 x 10 there are rings for hanging either horizontally or vertically.

I create stained glass Heritage panels, complimenting wind chimes, and traditional stained glass window panels.

While hot and warm styles have virtually taken over as home decor, I still craft cold glass in the Tiffany method. Each piece of glass is selected, carefully cut, fit, foiled, and soldered by hand before polishing for display.

My focus is the preservation of our family heirlooms by introducing a unique presentation with the incorporation of depression glassware and vintage dishes. Each piece brings back memories of grandma, makes us once again appreciate the things once treasured, and displays them in a new light.

Selected by Anchor Hocking as a Style and Trendsetter in 2010, featured by Glass Masters Quarterly fall 2012, as well as an award winner at several festivals in Florida, I look forward to working with individual clients for custom pieces.
