Custom Cedar Box With Turquoise Inlay And Antique Brass Hardware
This unique handmade feather box is meticulously crafted from Western red cedar featuring genuine turquoise inlay on the lid along with red velvet flocking interior, natural linseed oil finish, and antique brass hardware. The box has no nails or screws in the body (it does have screws attaching the handle and hardware), it is joined using black walnut dowels, creating a beautiful aesthetic along with a strong result. The box measures 3 5/8" H x 7 1/8" D x 20" L. All custom orders welcome! John Myszko is a woodworker and carpenter with over 25 years experience.
Starting out as a set builder on Broadway in New York he began his career in a non-conventional, free thinking sort of way.
Moving into the study of Japanese woodworking, his career primarily focused on bringing the feeling of the natural world indoors which led to many larger projects - mostly the design and fabrication of destination spas throughout the United States.
Enjoying a much quieter lifestyle in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado he has built a workshop and creates within it the things he is most passionate about.
From custom furniture, to musical instruments, to just about anything a client dreams up- each day is something new.
He does still go out on the road for custom projects when there is a good alignment creatively.
