Black Walnut Slab Bench With Natural Cedar Legs And Turquoise Inlay
I can make another similar- made from very old black walnut found in storage, with chunky natural cedar round legs that have been mortised into the slab top. The bench is constructed with mortised joints and black walnut dowels -- no screws! The black walnut slab has been restored with a turquoise and resin glue to repair imperfections and to give it a very unique Southwestern style. Finished with natural linseed oil. Very stable tripod leg design that shows off the natural beauty of locally-harvested cedar. 39.5" L x 12.5" W x 19" H. Everyone who has seen this bench in person has loved it.

John Myszko
Dancing Cedar Woodworks
John Myszko is a woodworker and carpenter with over 25 years experience.
Starting out as a set builder on Broadway in New York he began his career in a non-conventional, free thinking sort of way.
Moving into the study of Japanese woodworking, his career primarily focused on bringing the feeling of the natural world indoors which led to many larger projects - mostly the design and fabrication of destination spas throughout the United States.
Enjoying a much quieter lifestyle in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado he has built a workshop and creates within it the things he is most passionate about.
From custom furniture, to musical instruments, to just about anything a client dreams up- each day is something new.
He does still go out on the road for custom projects when there is a good alignment creatively.

Like, I said this box more than exceeded my expectations. John kept me well informed as to the progress of the project and delivered the box on time. John was very easy to work with.
