I love how the clay edges really captures the tattered poppy edges from being blown in the wind. The petals are so fragile, but here's one that you can have for life. It's one of those flowers where the pod is as beautiful as the flower. Framed in a house, this high relief sculpture is created from high fire clay and decorated with high fire glazes. I love making these houses because it's a challenge to fit unusual items of nature into them without making them look too crowded. This piece has exquisite detail and craftsmanship. It measures 10"h x 4.5"w x 2.5" d. It comes prewired for easy hanging in the garden, patio or sun room. Each piece is designed and signed by Robin Chlad in Tucson, AZ. It is displayed on an easel but is the easel is not included in the price. However, you may purchase the easel if you choose.
