Emerson Mid-Century Modern Cocktail Table Base For Marble Or Stone Top
The Emerson Table Base is a mid-century modern inspired cocktail table. Made with a solid black walnut base and a marble top and featuring a full bull-nose edge and tapered and softened legs. The base is finished with a natural oil and wax. The price of the marble top is not included below. Please note, my clients source the marble top separately. I provide detailed drawings with dimensions so that the marble fits perfectly. The table is approximately 40" x 40" by 16" tall, but can be made in different sizes.

Mark is an independent furniture designer and craftsman and builds custom pieces in his wood studio in Frederick, Maryland. He is an industrial designer with additional training in furniture design from the Royal Academy of Fine Art, Copenhagen, Denmark, and has refined his woodworking skills at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, in Rockport, Maine.
Mark’s style is organic modern and is heavily influenced my both Scandinavian and Japanese design traditions. He draws from his woodworking heritage which goes back six generations through his Scandinavian ancestors.
Mark teaches hand-cut joinery classes and workshops at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center.
