Young Native American Archer Wall Art Wood Carving
A decorative wall art plaque, 22"x 18"x 2" in cherry wood. My own style and composition. Available for immediate shipment. This is one of a kind, there are no others. Carved on one side. My thought as I was designing and making this was that in the classical periods of those two great "Meccas" of art, Greece and Rome, the Gods, Goddesses and human figures were shown in the physical condition at the prime of life, not as wizened old men and women as native Americans are far too often represented in carved/ sculpted art. So, my rendering is in the manner of ancient Greece and Rome, showing the subject in the prime of life. Again, my rebellion against the too frequent mainstream manner of portraying the Native Americans.

Working alone, I state working alone because nearly everything that I design and make are works of art made by me alone and signed by me for 20+ years, Ralph produces furnishings and signs rebelling against "mechanical mediocrity" refusing to work within the limitations imposed by machines and produce objets d'art which can only be accomplished with many hours/days/weeks/months of hand tooling.
To summarize, I am an artisan, not merely a furniture maker. Thank you for your interest in my fascination.
