Here is the swan coffee table base that I sculpted from solid poplar wood for a customer in New York. It is approximately 27 inches by 31 inches by 17 inches. As you can see from the photos assembled using mortice and tenon joints wherever possible and the two halves are joined with wood butterflies 3/8ths of an inch deep so that the body will never split apart.
