Ekisma was founded with the concept that custom, handmade furniture is special, something unique that is missing from modern society. We eschew current trends, the flamboyant and ornate in favor of simple, modern and timeless works of art. We don't dwell on traditional design paradigms or rely solely on craft. Instead, we approach handmade furniture as a fine art that utilizes decades of craftsmanship to create something truly amazing. Feel free to contact us any time. We would love to bring our handmade furniture into your life.

It was a pleasure to work with Mark. From the outset it was obvious that he approached the project with the eye and passion of an artist, interested more in its esthetic value, rather than a source of income. He was pleasant, reliable and devoted to our satisfaction to the very end,

The board is absolutely useless. It is far to good to be used as a chopping board. I have had to go out and buy a piece of junk so I can just look at Mark's one and cut on the other. I have banned the family from touching it lest it gets finger marks on it. A work of art such as this should be framed and hung on a wall. Seriously though, it is superb, as was the service and communication. Good luck to you Mark; and many thanks.

Mark was great to work with on this custom 36" round butcherblock tabletop. He was very flexible when the zinc band that I ordered from a supplier took longer than anticipated and then I decided not to use it. Mark's craftsmanship is first rate and this project will certainly be the centerpiece of a new kitchen.
