I made This sofa table for a customer as part of a set including two matching end tables. Sofa table 100% solid Reclaimed slow-growth white oak around one-hundred-years-old from a mule barn in Central KY that was constructed in the 1800's. I used cherry (also reclaimed from the same barn) as the risers for these tables as it is an extremely stable wood, in other words it will not change dimensions very much seasonally. The dimensions are 36" High (counter Height) 19" deep and 60" in length The wood is scattered with nail holes which are black around their perimeter as the nails were individually handmade out of Iron. I purposefully left a few places of the wood showing the large circular cuts which show that this wood was milled using a water-powered circular saw. The style of the table is a mix of mid century and modern The construction of the table is craftsmen style using all wood joinery and breadboard ends. This table is 100 % wood their is no hardware (bolts, nails, screws etc…) This sofa table is understated with clean lines built to last not one, but many lifetimes. The individual who wanted me to build this table asked for the nails from the wood, he then displayed them in a shadow box, I gotta say it looked pretty cool.

Fine handmade furniture and goods from locally sourced sustainably harvested wood.. All projects are designed and built by me, William Ney - I'm a one-man show. My aim is to build quality furniture from reclaimed and sustainably harvested hardwoods that will last for generations. One of my dining tables was recently featured in the "Kitchen Tours of the Bluegrass" held in Lexington, KY, in July, 2013.
Thanks for looking. Any and all questions are not only welcome, but encouraged.

For Dining Table And Benches Reclaimed White Oak With Hairpin LegsWe ordered a 84" reclaimed wood dining table with two benches from William and we couldn't be more impressed. From the final finishes, to the shipping, to the assembly, we're thoroughly pleased with the work. A great value, better than anything we could have bought at West Elm or other big box stores. Thanks Will!

For Dining Table And Benches Reclaimed White Oak With Hairpin LegsMy wife and I had been looking for the perfect table for our breakfast area, and we didn't just want a table, but a place where family and friends could gather and make memories together. When I found the CustomMade page, and William Ney's table, my wife said, "That's it!" The proposal was acceptable, and we immediately committed to buy the table and benches. My wife was hosting a baby shower for a dear friend the weekend after we got the table. Everything with the delivery was perfect. It was a snap to assemble and we are enjoying it already and can't wait to celebrate it with our friends and family. After conversing with Will several times during the process, I know that he is not just a furniture-maker, but a craftsman and an artisan. His work is unique. I would heartily recommend William Ney's work again.

For rustic tableI couldn't be happier. This man is an artist. Not only does he love what he does, he takes pride in his work and is extremely conscientious and meticulous. The table I ordered is a work of art. Hard to find these days. I will be ordering more pieces from Will in the future !
