Mike was by far the most communicative and detail-oriented craftsman I interviewed, and I can't tell you how happy I am with the final products! Mike worked with me to ensure that I was satisfied with the dimensions, materials and construction of the pieces (I started with one and inquired about another, and Mike was able to update the proposal easily) and sent pictures of the pieces while they were in process to ensure that I was pleased with how they were coming together. They are beautiful and exactly what I had in mind. Would highly recommend Mike and Edelman's Wood Designs!

Working with Mike was a real pleasure. I had a few bids for my bed frame project, but after looking at the level of craftsmanship he showed on other pieces in his profile I felt confident he could take care of the task I had. He was very clear about the details and even offered suggestions about how to make the finish, color and design a bit better (which is something I really appreciated).

After we confirmed the project we communicated fairly frequently, though I may have pushed that a little. Either way he was perfectly responsive, usually getting back to me within an hour or two and always within the same day, especially toward the end and finishing touches.

With regard to delivery and professionalism, you're in good hands with Mike. He personally delivered the bed - which is saying something as it was and oversized King frame. During the delivery we worked together to get the frame fit into my room (on the 4th floor of a walk-up in nyc), though he offered to do it all himself for the record. The only slight negative I'd offer is that he came in at the very end of the agreed upon delivery date (which was a decently large range). However, that was something we had talked about throughout, so I was well aware that may occur as the project moved along. No surprises from Mike while he worked on this for me.

Value here is incredible. I could have seen myself paying 2x or more for the same thing with someone else and more than that if the design were in a restoration hardware or similar store. Hope to work with Mike again, and can't say enough about how pleasant he was during the entire project and how happy I am with the finished result. Thanks Mike!

I engaged Michael to help with two dressers that I'm going to use as nightstands. It was a very pleasant experience to work with Michael. He accommodated my design ideas and changes, communicated throughout the process, and executed the design flawlessly. He also went above and beyond to ensure the color and final product came out the way I wanted. Two thumbs up for a rare and exceedingly great experience.

Mike delivered my custom bathroom vanity this afternoon and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! His craftsmanship is very good and I appreciated the care he took as we iterated the design and the execution of the piece. This was my first experience with CustomMade.com – when I posted my project online, I received a handful of proposals with a range of cost estimates (all of which were less expensive than what I was quoted by local resources in NYC). I was a little nervous when I embarked with CustomMade thinking “this must be too good to be true,” but when Mike started showing me CAD drawings of my ideas and explaining the different manufacturing options, I knew intuitively that he knew what he was doing and was motivated by his craft. This was truly a joint effort – he had great patience through every iteration and used photos and texts to inform my decisions throughout the process.
