Warm up your office space with this beautiful reclaimed office desk! Reclaimed Office Desk made from Douglas Fir removed from an old industrial warehouse in South East Portland, Oregon. This Desk/Table sold but I am making more right now . . . drop me a note if you are interested in one and we can discuss your project! This will make an amazing kitchen table as well! The legs are hardwood dunnage used to ship railroad rails from Asia to Oregon. The beams were originally built as a work bench for a metal shop. There are holes and dips and rough cuts. I milled the wood and built the top leaving as much of the original character as possible. 1/4" Steel plates attach the legs to the top. Measurements are: Length 66" X Width 30" X Height 30" with floor adjusters. I can build any size top to suit. Cost will increase as the size goes up so drop me a note if you want a large top. Shipping . . cost depend on your location. Typically about 200.00. The legs are removable and very easy to install.

I have been living in the Pacific Northwest since 1991 and currently work in Portland, Oregon. Portland is a fast growing hub of creative energy and inspired Makers. I am one. For me, it has always been about line, shape, function and lets not forget . . . wood. I am awed by it's unique nature and delighted that I get the opportunity to work with it everyday. Each board and every species has it's own unique characteristics. A wild example is the Huon Pine from Tasmania. It is the oldest living tree on the planet at 10, 500 years. They start to reproduce 600 to 800 years of age. That helps put some perspective in the realm of us and them!
The intention behind my work is to highlight the qualities of each piece of wood I handle, to give it a new life, and to help us appreciate and see it for what it is. I am often given the great pleasure to make gifts for anniversaries, birthdays, holidays and just something sweet. What a special honor it is to be the maker of a gift! I get the sweet view of seeing a person love another. Isn't that what it's all about?
My background in both fine art and the construction industry has given me an unusual approach to woodworking and furniture making. I am an artist who makes usable, beautiful objects with wood that I hope will say something about us.
I have a BFA from Cooper Union in NYC, NY and was a contractor for over 15 years designing and remodeling homes in New York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Eugene, Oregon. While studying fine art and learning how to carve wood I also studied woodworking and cabinetry. Later I worked for a couple of architectural woodworking shops in Oregon where I learned in a commercial environment making one off custom work.
I make furniture, woodwork , sculpture, laptop stands, specialty boxes, jewelry and probably something else by the time you read this. I love to design and build my own work as well as contract commissions for clients. My passion lies in discovery and invention and the challenge to make something useful in the most beautiful way possible.

For Playing Card Case To Hold 67 Cards!5.0I ordered a custom sized box to fit a deck of 63 cards, and what I got blew away my expectations. The box fit the deck perfectly, and was gorgeously finished, with perfectly placed logo engraved, tight inlays, and clear craftsmanship. I placed the order and was in no real hurry, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was a slow turn around. So I was offered a second box free! It was also absolutely gorgeous and well made.
