I have enjoyed making this table for many years. It is a lovely piece that looks great in many places. With its clean modern look and attention to detail you will cherish this table for many years. The table stands 20" tall and the top has a diameter of 16" I take great care in selecting beautiful pieces for the top and careful attention to grain patterns for the leg. As you can see in the detail pictures I have developed a unique joint that is very strong allowing the table to support a considerable amount of weight. The name comes from Salt Spring Island Canada, where I was living when I first made this table. It was in an art show at a local gallery and a newspaper article featured it calling it a "Whale Tail Table" the name just stuck. I hope you enjoy. -jesse
