Custom Rainbow Ombre Effect Strip Quilt With Appliqued Authentic South American Embroidery
Our customer had 5 authentic South American "molas" (applique work designs) that she wanted incorporated into a quilt. I suggested this design which was based off a strip quilt I saw online. It uses a gorgeous, ombre fading rainbow effect that has an Aztec/South American feel to it, which I felt really showcased the applique work. We also quilted it with rainbow thread to enhance the black and blend well with all the colors.
