What makes Art UnderPlants™ so unique, is the powerful, built-in watering system is clothed with colorful artwork. I took a strictly functional interior landscape product and transformed it into a stylish home and garden accessory that consistently waters the plants, for up to three to four weeks between refills! In combination with my gorgeous handcrafted décor you have something truly original on the market: art, function and fashion for your foliage--all entwined. No more ugly and messy plastic trays. Never hire a friend or neighbor as a plant sitter again. Frequent travelers rejoice… easy interior plant watering has arrived! My process: I layer each Art UnderPlants™ with an array of colorful original art, recycled and handmade papers from Thailand, China, Tibet and Indonesia. I use bits of newspapers, cards, strands of Tibetan fiber, foreign coins, currencies, paint finishes, and recycled fabrics including beautiful silk sari remnants from India. Pots come in 8", 10", 12" and 14" and larger by special order and are adorned with gorgeous decorative findings and beaded accents from countries around the world.

I'm Debra Amerson. I'm a visual artist, photographer, designer and filmmaker, who lives and works in West Marin County north of San Francisco. There, I lead Deeper Green—helping residential and commercial clients decorate spaces with green interior design methods, installing artistic interior plantscapes and custom home decor.
I enjoy making beautiful art, sculpture, pots, planter boxes and indoor garden accessories integrating my artistic gifts using a combo of creative tools including: my hands, my camera and my Mac.
