The double hung window you see in this photo can still open even though the stained glass is mounted on the interior side of a the pre-existing clear glass. This is possible when the thickness of the stained glass in the upper section won't hinder the lower section (or the latch) from sliding up past it. This is also a good example of a stained glass design that employs inside points, that is, places where one piece of glass juts into an adjacent piece of glass without the use of extra leadlines that would break up the design significantly. The background glass in this artwork is a textured clear glass that cannot be seen in this photo.

I have been making stained glass for 50 years, since I took it up as a hobby at the age of eleven. I have been a full-time stained glass artist since 1975. I've won numerous awards for both my design and my craftsmanship.
I have completed commissions throughout the U.S. and Canada, and shipped my ready-made artworks as far as Dublin, Ireland. I also teach my unique methodology for making precision stained glass in a 43-hour set of DVDs, and I have sold hundreds of these sets in 15 countries so far.
As a visual artist, I invite you to view my images and compare the design and craftsmanship for yourself. Whether you are considering the purchase of an already-made stained glass artwork or commissioning new custom stained or beveled glass, I am confident that I can address both your desires and needs.
