Sunflower - Floral Stained Glass
This sunflower in stained glass is currently for sale. Flowers are an often-used subject in stained glass. Whenever a subject matter is often used (or over used) in stained glass, I try to make an artwork that is unique and impressive. This artwork is constructed with two different sizes of lead came. All of the lead and solder has been darkened to a charcoal gray with a chemical patina. The background is a clear textured glass. This hanging artwork is mounted in an oak frame, which looks black here but actually has a clearly visible wood grain with a medium finish. The size of this artwork is 23" wide and 32" high, including the wood frame.
