This item has been sold but I can re-create it, or make one customized for you. I made this sculpture out of rings cut from old aluminum scuba tanks that were destined for the scrap yard. My goal is to re-use, re-purpose or re-cycle items destined for scrap and use them in ways their original owners or producers never imagined. Each ring is about 1/2" thick and is about 1/2" wide with a diameter of 7-1/4". Since this is entirely out of aluminum it will not rust. It has been cleaned, primed and painted with a metal cobalt blue paint. The metallic paint really catches the light and casts some interesting shadows. The dimensions are 40" tall, 30" wide and 14" thick. It weighs about 25 pounds.

I am a retired Army Engineer Diver and reside near Fredericksburg, VA. I have been working with wood or metal for over 30 years. I enjoy looking at a piece of material and seeing what it can be changed into instead of its original purpose.
I make unique items out of scuba diving tanks, scrap metal, and anything I can find so that I re-purpose, re-use or recycle as much material as possible. My goal is to have 90% of the material in my projects be items that were destined for the scrap yard or trash.
Whether it is a one of a kind engraved scuba tank, abstract sculpture, lamp, or piece of yard art, please allow me to work with you to make your vision come to life.

For Large Bell Or GongPositively-Absolutely-Talented (PAT) that's Pat! It was a very rewarding experience working with him. He took my cryptic drawings and information and turned them into a masterpiece. I've already asked him about working on another project for me. Thanks Pat, I really appreciate your talent and time. You're the best!!

For Metal Ring Sculpture #2Cody Snodgrass
For Clock Tower Sculpture ProjectPat did a great job and really worked hard to make sure the end result was what we were looking for. His willingness to learn and work with another artist was much appreciated. Even though the clock tower isn't fully complete Pat's portion of the project turned out great. I highly recommend using Pat for metal work.

For Outdoor pteradactyl sculpture ProjectWe haven't received the Pteradactyl sculpture yet, but believe we will love it due to Pat's continuous updates with images, questions and confirmations. This was our first Custom Made project, as well as Pat's. He is a great person to work with, a real artist. I recommend him for steel renditions.
