This exquisite ivory lace and heavily beaded wedding gown was transformed into a spectacular family heirloom. I used the train as the main focal point for the dress skirt while using other beaded areas for the bodice, sleeves, bonnet, bib and wrap. I inserted a plain satin panel, from the dress' satin underskirt, in the center front and then adorned it with some of the embroidered and beaded motifs (which I hand stitched) that I meticulously cut from scraps of the unused lace areas. For the sleeve bindings I used the heavily beaded spaghetti straps from the gown bodice. There was a bonnet made from the heavily beaded areas of the bodice and well as a bib. The purchase price includes all the above plus the slip with personalized embroideries. This gown lent itself to one of my favorite projects! Remarks from my customer upon receipt of the dress and accessories: Just received the package! Everything is beautiful and beyond what I had imagined. I love all the details and the slip is just absolutely amazing!!! Thank you again for all of your care and attention to this project for me - it means the world to me what you have put together for my family.

Welcome to my store!
I have been stitching for well over 40 years! Amazing how fast time goes by, seems like yesterday that I sat at a sewing machine for first time!
I make wedding dresses, baby attire to include Christening/Baptismal Gowns, after christening party attire, First Communion Dresses, Flower girl dresses, quilts or anything you can dream up. I have studied with some world renowned designers such as Sandra Betzina, special occasion expert Susan Khalji, and designer to the stars Kenneth King.
I first learned the trade while visiting an aunt during a summer vacation. She was giving sewing lessons and I had an immediate love for the craft just by watching and when offered the opportunity to learn, I jumped at it! That was the beginning of a lifelong passion.
At first I was only interested in crafting my own clothes but that quickly evolved into sewing for others. When I got married I had made my mind up that I was going to venture into the special occasion genre by making my own gown and that became my next love. After the birth of my first daughter I began making all her (and now my granddaughters) special occasion dresses and then off to yet another level of the craft!
I have made many wedding gowns through the years for friends and the general public, when our friends were having babies I added Baptismal and Christening gowns to my repertoire. At first the gowns were plain with a little lace or other adornment. I have since branched off into using machine embroideries and hand beading along with heirloom techniques. The more intricate the patterns and adornments the better I like it! I have not yet met a request I haven't been able to fulfill.
I am also associated with the organization "Rest in His Arms", which provides burial attire to babies which have been abandoned by their families. This organization provides the burial gowns and services for each baby they come in contact with for free.
It has been a rewarding evolution from my first stitch to now!

For Bedspread ProjectIt all was so easy -- and fun to have an opportunity to work with a real artist. Our quilt is beautiful and fabulously crafted. Marciel could not have been better -- easy to work with, communicative -- and the end product fabulous. Thanks so much!

For Quilts And MoreMarceil was excellent. Together we put together a replacement quilt for my husband. It was a Father's Day/Early Anniversary gift for my husband. We did this all behind his back. The quilt we ended doing was gorgeous!!! It was a great father's day gift and beautiful anniversary gift. She was great to work with, keeping me updated all along. The only thing about the quilt my husband said was it was to beautiful to sleep under because it was a was a "work of art"
Carol Siebig
For Carol's Wedding DressMarceil was fabulous to work with. She made suggestions to save me money but not sacrifice the project. She sent me pictures of the lace that she could find that was similar to what I had described and let me pick which one I liked best. She sent me pictures and updated me on the progress of the dress the whole way through. She exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend her as a maker. Thank you Marceil! I don't see how I can add pictures to this review or I would send a picture of my dress - it is gorgeous!
Claudia Rawlinson
For Claudia's Wedding DressI had a very great experience working with Marceil - Heaven Sent Baby Quilts. She took my idea (which was a combination of two difference dresses) that I sent to her & was able to construct my dream wedding dress. Her communication throughout the project was wonderful, because the date kept changing. She sent me samples of the fabric for the dress which I loved what she picked out. The dress when finished was to perfection. I referred her to my sister who needed a dress for her son's wedding. I would highly recommend her to my other family & friends. She is indeed a professional in the service that she provides. Great Job! I loved working with her on this special project & would love to be able to work with her again on another project. CR
Roxanne Roxas
For Roxanne's Wedding DressI absolutely loved my experience working with Marcy! She made sure I was part of the process every step of the way, from picking out the lace sample to the straps and even the cups of the dress! She even made sure that the fit was absolutely perfect, and made the adjustments even after I received the dress! I really cannot recommend Marcy enough - I am so excited to wear my wedding dress! Thank you again Marcy! :)
