After three decades of firefighting I cast about for another career doing something completely different. High on my list of attributes, I looked for a career where I could express myself and delight others with my passion for craftsmanship. Living in the Rocky Mountains stimulates my senses and provides constant inspiration for creative ideas.
I have had my shop for ten years now and although I had quite a bit of experience in building things, I have found real fulfillment in continuing to learn new skills and solving problems giving customers, what they wish for. My business is a one man shop and virtually everything is custom made. Most of my projects start with customer consultation. Sometimes customers have a full fledged idea with pictures. Some come with a "napkin sketch" and some come to me asking for ideas. Most of the time I can provide them with a CAD drawing of what the project will look like for approval. Among other tools I have a CNC plasma cutting table and much of my work features detailed silhouettes. This has allowed many projects that are personal to the customer.
