Live Edge American Elm Slab Barn Door
This is a monster slab door made from 3 consecutive cut slabs through a highly figured American Elm tree. The middle slab was flipped so the highly figured crotch in each slab was balanced visually. There are about a dozen hand cut butterfly keys spanning the cracks and voids for strength and visual appeal. I can make live edge slab door in any wood and can fabricate the hanging hardware as well.

Hawkandstone
Hawkandstone is a furniture design and fabrication shop. We come from a background in kinetic architecture and product design. We specialize in custom hand made furniture and small run productions. We work with clients directly as well as interior designers and architects.
We are located in Southern California and have access to some amazing local woods. We try to get most of our wood from salvaged trees and reclaimed lumber from old local buildings.
