Hand Tooled Rose Leather Dual Book Cover For Big Book And Twelve And Twelve
This dual, pocket sized AA Big Book and Twelve and Twelve cover was custom made for a rose lover. With Serenity prayer on the from in hand carved lettering and a tooled and dye highlighted rose design on the back, this cover provides an elegant and attractive protection for both texts. The outer cover is of high quality tooling leather and the inside lining and pocket panels are of finished calf skin. The inner leather can also be made from various designer leathers or lighter weight tooling leather allowing space for customization of name and sobriety date if desired. All my covers are designed collaboratively with your preference of design and color and integrating your favorite prayer, phrase, saying or recovery theme. I hand lace (stitching also an option) with genuine calf-skin lace and include an extra bit of matching lace to form two bookmarks. My name is Allan and I have been hand carving and tooling leather since around the age of 12. Nevermind how long ago that was!
My initial work was in wallets, belts, and purses. But my love is in tooling larger items with more room for design and expression. I currently specialize in book covers and covers for consumer electronic devices.
Have a family bible that you would like to protect and decorate with a carved leather cover with your favorite passage inscribed? How about a personalized cover for your favorite novel or photo album. Are you in recovery or know someone who is? I have many ready-made designs for covers for the literature from Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12 step programs for that special sponsor or loved one in recovery.
I also tool portraits of pets. Have a furry friend that you would like remembered in leather? How about a leather clock or wall hanging with your favorite picture of your pet?
Though my love and specialty is in the carving, tooling and dying of leather, I do welcome all inquiries for your leather project. I do all my own work including tooling and dying of the leather and the stitching, lacing and any other assembly required to complete the final product.
