Hello,
I am Wynn Whitener. I am from western North Carolina, which is the furniture capital of the world. I come from a tradition of woodworkers, many of whom have spent their careers creating fine furniture here in North Carolina.
I specialize in woodturning. I create items which are both aesthetic and functional. My items are made from beautiful woods from all over the world. Some of the woods that I especially like using are leopardwood, padouk, purpleheart, walnut, and many of the more highly figured woods. I also take pride in using the nicest finishes that can be found anywhere. The combination of great turning, great woods, and great finishes creates a stunning effect in my work. Many of my pieces are displayed at art and craft galleries. I do all I can to create beautiful pieces, and I sincerely appreciate your interest in my work.
