We at PhotoOil are passionate about transforming your most treasured photos into 100% hand painted, personalized, museum quality, yet affordable works of art. We have built our business on a solid reputation for satisfying our clients and guaranteeing 100% satisfaction
Conceived in the prestigious Babson College Venture Accelerator Program in the beautiful Boston suburbs of Wellesley, MA, PhotoOil came to life through the combined efforts of like-minded young American and international entrepreneurs who were advised by experienced mentors. We share in the vision of enabling more people to commission personally inspired, high quality, works of art that resonate with each person’s emotional connection to a favorite photo at reasonable prices.
Our first contact is person to person, not person to automated responder.
Our priority is your satisfaction and we will make it until you are satisfied.
We do rush orders because sometimes it's just necessary.

Whatever the reason, each client is provided a very personalized level of service. Ordering a PhotoOil painting is like commissioning a work of art at a fraction of the cost. The return on your modest investment is not only a vibrant work of art that will be appreciated for years to come, but also an enjoyable, memorable and educational experience, as you accompany us on the journey to bring your photo to life.
Our unique process makes you a key member of our production team to insure your complete satisfaction. You collaborate with us to assist in cultivating the expression of the true essence of the photo in the context of your personal vision.
The process is simple:
1) We provide a free telephone consult to discuss your requirements and answer questions.
2) You provide us with an original photo or digital image along with a list of desired changes.
3) You receive a series of photos at several steps of the process to collect your feedback.
4) If desired, you select a frame from several options that we provide based on your input.
5) We deliver the painting to you for your final approval.
Even if it is difficult to find the perfect photo, we can adjust virtually any aspect of the painting to reconstitute your memory or cater to your imagination. We have often worked with black and white, damaged, aged or even partial photos. It is also possible to combine subjects and elements from several photos as a basis for the painting.
Our mission is to provide the highest possible level of quality, value and service. Each painting is 100% created by free hand. We never utilize printing on canvas or mechanical techniques. Our network of artists is the result of a careful selection process that has spanned several years. Each artist is meticulously tested before being chosen for a project. Only top quality paints and materials are used from Winsor & Newton http://www.winsornewton.com/about-us/ which has been the leading supplier of fine art materials since 1832. Intense quality control is enforced at each step of the process by our experienced production manager.
Your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. If you are not completely satisfied when we deliver the final painting to you, we will rework it until we achieve your acceptance. If even then you are not satisfied, we will refund 100% of your money, including the deposit!
