The stool base is made from 1" of tubing with a 1/8" wall, all joints are fully welded. The four legs are rolled to create a dramatic flow effect of the legs creating a more contoured look. The seats are 16 gauge sheet metal that I plasma cut out and put in my forging oven then hammer them into a countered seat with a hammered look the front has leg recesses. The finished hammered top is then welded to a matching base making it look like its 1 1/4" thick seat. The seat is actually hollow inside giving it some movement like a cushion. The back is also 16 gauge sheet metal that does through the same process . The stool frame comes with felt pads on each foot. The seat and back is finished with different color paints then sanded and clear coated to give it a used recycled look. These come in a 25" counter height and 30" bar height. Hammered in Time is owned and operated by Angie and Aaron DeWitt. We started our company with hopes and dreams of providing Handmade, Quality, Furniture and Decor for peoples homes and Businesses at an affordable price. We were doing structural steel, residential and commercial railings, storefronts and restaurant rebuilds, but really wanted to be more creative. It is not easy competing with imports. But we were sure as soon as people, saw, felt and fell in love with our products, there would be no turning back. When you buy from us, you are supporting a small, local business that is employing local workers and using american supplies. Our shop is located in an amazing old brick factory building in Derby, Connecticut. We are always a phone call away, with any questions, problems or concerns. You want something custom made? No problem, just shoot us a message and we will get back to you shortly. That is the benefit of buying locally. You will always deal with the owners of the company and we care about our customers and have pride in our products and craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed, whether you are buying four stools for your kitchen or fifty stools for your restaurant, our quality and craftsmanship will stand the test of time.
