mr2 Custom Hand Crafted Enclosed Back© Cabinet or Bookcase. Each custom piece is 43" high x 12" deep x 60" wide and made from beautiful FSC certified Monterey (Radiata) Pine. (The wheels shown are not included). The bookcase shown is stained in English Chestnut with 4-5 coats of Polyurethane lacquer. Each bookcase is made to the following specifications: • The custom mr2 Bookcase dimensions are 60"W x 43" H x 12" D. • The shelve heights and number of partitions/compartments can be changed without cost additions as long as the 43" overall height and 60' widths are maintained. A drawing of the final design will be sent to the customer for approval. • Solid Monterey (Radiata) High Quality Pine used. Multiple boards that have been compression glued with biscuits to achieve 12" width. No veneers. • All surfaces stained and lacquered with 3~4 coats of satin polyurethane on top and undersides. Samples of the stain and finish will be sent to the customer for approval prior to finishing. • Enclosed back using ¼" finished pine plywood. • All vertical risers and shelves are secured with power head screws and covered with wood dowels. •The bookcase has six(6) low profile removable casters. Not shown. • Specification changes require the customers approval. • These pieces are custom made and would be ready for shipment within 6-8 weeks after order has been placed depending upon back log. • The back is shipped separately from the bookcase due to weight restrictions. Each piece is packaged in bubble wrap with multiple layers of cardboard for protection. • Packaging, Insurance and Drop Shipping is to the West Coast. If the cost is lower, a refund will be provided Custom item, shipment would be dependent upon backlog Please confirm the dimensions, compartment configuration, and stain and finish (gloss, semi-gloss or satin) and need for an apron on both sides when ordering. Prices are also available for the bookcases made of oak or other woods. Special designs are also available.

Delivery Schedule
Based upon present backlogs, the delivery schedule will be extended on custom made pieces. Items in stock can also have an extended time period for shipment.
My Craftsmanship Promise
Each piece is hand made and individualized to meet each customers’ needs and requirements. I maintain close communications with each customer on the status including pictures as the piece is assembled and finished.
Any changes or improvements to the the piece are reviewed and approved prior to implementing each change.

I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).

For Custom Mr2 Solid Cherry Shadowbox Bookcase4.8My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.
