Bench Or Table In African Mahogany Contemporay Style
The mr2 Signature Series Table or Bench is made of multiple 6/4 solid African Mahogany stock. The bench is 36" Wide x 13" Deep x 17 3/4" High with 4-5 coats of clear satin finish polyurethane. Dimensions may vary a small amount depending upon available stock. This bench design is for people who appreciate the pure simplistic beauty of wood grain, pattern and structure created by nature. The piece is made from rare African Mahogany stock which has been dressed down and hand planed to minimize loss of wood and bring out all the uniqueness of the wood. The edges are sharp and crisp with only the use of clear coat polyurethane to bring out the wood color, textures and grain patterns. All surfaces have been finely sanded and finished including the underside of the piece. You can actually turn the piece over and enjoy it! The leg assemblies are built using biscuits and professional wood glue to create a single strong piece with no screws or dowels showing. Each leg assembly is attached to the seat with 3 lag bolts and covered with a African Mahogany plate to create a solid piece with no attachments showing. The top of the piece is made from multiple board stock that has biscuits and compression gluing to joint the pieces together. Color and grain patterns may vary depending upon the available stock. Shipping and insurance costs are estimated for delivery to the West Coast (See Shipping & Policies). Delivery Schedule
Based upon present backlogs, the delivery schedule will be extended on custom made pieces. Items in stock can also have an extended time period for shipment.

Each piece is hand made and individualized to meet each customers’ needs and requirements. I maintain close communications with each customer on the status including pictures as the piece is assembled and finished.
Any changes or improvements to the the piece are reviewed and approved prior to implementing each change.

I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional. He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it. I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).

For Custom Mr2 Solid Cherry Shadowbox Bookcase4.8My wife and I searched hard for a "Shadowbox Bookcase" for our living room. All we found were particle board monstrosities, or overpriced manufactured hollow versions. We wanted something in solid hardwood, preferably cherry. Rick provided this. His quote was reasonable, his design was exactly what we requested, and his communication was outstanding. He started and completed the project on schedule. Delivery was timely. There was a small glitch in the delivery, and Rick apologized profusely for this, but it was totally out of his control, and I believe him when he says that it had never happened before with this shipper. We managed to take delivery of the item, which was exceedingly well wrapped and protected. We are proud to have a custom piece of Rick Ricks craftsmanship in our living room.
